I commissioned a pastel painting from Monika Zhořová based on a photo taken shortly after I gave birth. She captured the tenderness and emotion of that special moment with incredible sensitivity. The details are delicate, the colors gentle, and the overall feeling so authentic. I later gifted the painting to my personal assistant as a keepsake of this powerful experience, and it was met with heartfelt admiration.
After a traumatic first birth while I had Covid and was separated from my baby for many weeks, I had such a healing journey birthing my second child at home without assistance or intervention and then separating from him in my own time and in reverence with a cord burning ceremony. It was such a huge blessing for our family and a transformative experience for me to birth and star our journey in this way. I wanted to treasure the moment and be inspired by it again and again. I feel so very grateful and touched by Monikas capturing of this incredible moment.
